OUR HISTORY 01
An idea as simple as innovative.
Our story begins in 2010 with Jordi Serrat, a painter by profession and a passionate enthusiast of the world of cocktails who, at the height of the gin and tonic craze, had an idea as simple as it was innovative: to create single-serving combinations for gin and tonics with dehydrated fruit and botanicals.
Armed with little more than a small home oven and boundless curiosity, he began experimenting with unconventional fruit blends, seeking an alchemy capable of stirring emotions. His goal was not simple: to create the perfect aroma, one that would surprise the palate and captivate the eye.
Convinced that fruit deserved a second life beyond its fleeting freshness, he developed a whole collection of unique combinations in single-serving formats. He had the product, but now it had to reach people, and he couldn't do it alone.
It was then that he presented the project to Pedro Rosell and Anna Vilalta, who were amazed by its originality and decided to support it.
What began as an almost artisanal project transformed into a revolution thanks to perseverance. Restaurants, hotels, and bars began to discover that behind each dehydrated slice lay much more than a decoration: there was aroma, texture, character. And we, as producers, responded by expanding formats, innovating in processes, and listening to the needs of a market that was just beginning to awaken. In time, Europe opened its doors to us, and our dehydrated fruits and vegetables began to travel and gain recognition in the international hospitality industry.
Growth led us to leave behind the small workshop and invest in modern facilities, high-capacity ovens, and precision machinery. This evolution allowed us not only to create Botanic & Fruits, but also to produce for other brands that trust in our expertise.
Each step reaffirms us as producers of dehydrated fruit who believe in quality, innovation and artisanal care.
